Catch Up

I also want to share with you some cards and projects I have been doing over recent months which I didn't have time to blog! Phew that's enough catch up for now although I do have llots of other things to share, my head is now spinning and I keep losing place of what I'm doing!! Sally x

In December, I did a Stampin' Up party for Kellie and presented her with this box...I then made my mum one for xmas...


Then I held a workshop to make either a heart one or a flower one. Although we had four hours the detail involved is fiddly and time consuming and alas my class didn't finish their boxes.

We were also supposed to make an octagonal card to go in the box but when Tina and I made the boxes, we realised how long it took and that we wouldn't have time. When I had previously made the boxes I had done it over several evenings and not realised the time it had taken!! So we made the cards at our Card Group last week!




I made some cute Thank You cards after my birthday using Elegant Soiree colours as a base...

I then took this idea further and made lots and put them into little pockets that I made and gave them to my crafter friends for Xmas! I'll see if one of them hasn't used them and take a photo.

I had some gorgeous Alice and Wonderland stamps for my birthday and Christmas and here are a few I made with them. Definitely more to come...

Vintage Bliss

Good morning... well it is for me, I had the first lie-in for ages! Been busy with my good friend Tina preparing for my Stampin' Up Vintage Bliss workshop on Tuesday, where we will be using the Sale-a-bration stamp set, "Bliss" and "Vintage Vogue" from the current Stampin' Up catalogue. I wasn't going to blog them until afterwards but I've decided to give out the handouts with pictures on before the workshop in the hope that it might entice more people to come to the workshop when they see the lovely cards we are going to be making!! LOL and here they are, I hope you like them..I am really pleased with them!

I'm back!!!!!!!

Long time no see (write/blog)!!! In the run up to Xmas I was extremely busy with no time to blog.... and after Xmas I was desparately rying to finishing a yearbook scrapbook for my middle son, Jordan who was 18 last Thursday. I managed it but I really had left it to the last minute I was down to having to make 2 pages every day to get it done! Perhaps I should start my youngest daughter's now, she is 14.... that'll give me plenty of time! LOL

I now have my very own Craft Room, with everything but the kitchen sink in it! LOL I am sooo excited about it. I can reach everything without overstretching and I can now make a card, photograph it and blog it all in one room!! And here is my very first one in my room using LOTV Baby Girl, although as she is toddling I think it is a perfect image to use for a one year old birthday. And here is a second one using the LOTV Baby Boy.



Over Xmas I taught myself to crochet, specifically to make cute, little flowers for my cards, 'cos they are sooo expensive to buy! Here are some of my first ones and some cards I used them on.

Some quick and easy Autumnal Harvesty cards!!

Knock at the Door!!

As promised here is the Xmas wreath adorned with many embellishments. This was oh so much fun! Sam enjoyed it too and is currently decorating another one! Made a door and used Stampin' Up Hodgepodge Hardware for the letterbox and door knob!

Crafting Fun

I had a great fun crafting day today with my good friend Tina. She missed my party and so I showed her the card we made and we made some more. We then played with my new Woodware Clear Magic Gingerbread Man and Bubble Wreath sets, at last. Here is a card that I made with the Gingerbread Man set images with my 9 year old son, Sam for his best friend's birthday tomorrow. I adore these two sets and they were such fun to do. I coloured the Gingerbread Man and House in with Promarkers and used Stampin' Up Riding Hood Red cardstock and retired "Candy Lane" papers (thought that was appropriate!!) and the very very gorgeous Real Red 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon. I am very pleased with the result and will definitely be making more cards with this set, Xmas ones too!! I will post the wreaths when I have made them into cards!! LOL!! Not enough hours in the day...

Wedding Sweet, Always Elegant and Style Beautiful

I held my first Stampin' Up party a week ago and these are the designs I showcased using the new Stampin' Up "Wedding Sweet" and "Style Beautiful" stamp sets and the colours from the Elegant Soiree papers - Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake (I didn't have the Elegant Soiree papers then! so these are a retired set "Parisian Breeze" which used the same colours):




And these are two that I demonstrated, the first used the new Stampin' Up stamp set "Style Beautiful" with the new Stampin' Up papers "Lap of Luxury" in Concord Crush and Pretty in Pink and embellished with the gorgeous new Stampin' Up Basic Rhinestone Jewels and Concord Crush 1/2" Stitched Poly Ribbon and the second one combined "Wedding Sweet" with the "Always Elegant" stamp set in Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake and a little of the new Marina Mist 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, also used the new Modern Label punch which I love. The latter was the make and take. They went down very well!


I also "wowed" them with a handmade teapot for the hostess (which I forgot to photograph! Silly me...I'll have to borrow it back to take a photo!!) and showed them how to make this Xmas snowflake decoration which I saw on YouTube. It really shows off double-sided papers. These were from Christmas Jingle. And here it is!!
